Why your converted MP3 sounds quieter
The converted MP3 sounds quieter because the source video's audio was mastered at a lower loudness than you expect; fix it by opening the MP3 in the Volume tool, raising the level (up to 200%), and re-exporting.

If the original video was mastered quietly, or if the platform applied loudness normalization during playback, the MP3 will inherit that quieter level. Different players and platforms also apply their own volume matching, so compare the video and MP3 in the same player at the same system volume before assuming the converter lowered the sound.
1) Open the Volume tool and upload the MP3. 2) Use the volume slider or percentage field to raise the level; the maximum is 200%. 3) Preview the result and watch the peak meter if the tool shows one. 4) Click Export or Convert, then download the new file.
Raise the level in small steps rather than jumping straight to 200%. Pushing the volume too far can cause clipping, which sounds like harsh distortion or crackle at loud moments. If the source already has peaks near maximum, there may be little safe headroom.
Raising the volume cannot restore detail, clarity, or bitrate that was never in the source video. The output quality cannot exceed the source audio, and re-exporting a lossy MP3 can add slight artifacts. Use the raised file as a convenience copy, not as a remaster.
